New Wire Wrap Necklaces
I decided to use my "rock collection" in some new work, and created these two necklaces-one very simple piece featuring faceted agate stones and sterling silver links.
Next, a nice long necklace you can pop over your head with a Hill Tribe silver shell bead, hammered sterling links, pearls, lampwork lentils, one of my polymer clay leaf beads, and a variety of stones. I am going to oxidize the agate necklace today using boiled eggs. I usually like the silver shiny, but will try my hand at oxidizing sans the liver of sulfur. I'll let you know how it turns out. Have a great day!

These are lovely Sharon!
Hi Sharon
I love the large wire links in the first necklace, but the second one is my favorite! Right up my alley. I think it will look spectacular when you oxidize it. Good luck with the hard boiled eggs...I find that doing it that way is hit or miss. You might end up with some areas not as darkened as the others. I think the longer you keep it in there, the better. Good luck...I'd love to see them after you oxidize them. :-)
I like them both two, but I agree, I like the second one a lot too!
ohhh the second one is my fave!
Really nice Sharon!! The 2nd one is outstanding!
Love it Sharon!!! the loops are perfect done!!!
oooo looking forward to hearing about the boiled egg experiment! Love the mixture of beads on the long necklace :)
Thank you ladies for your lovely comments. I just read the ABS blog about Cool Tool's Patina Gel which sounds super easy to use, so I ordered the small jar. Yes, I will still try the boiled egg experiment which I didn't get to today, but after all, tomorrow is another day, Scarlett!
